Welcome to the internet portal to your healthcare, NextMD! We are pleased to bring this to you. NextMD will allow you to communicate with our practice in a unique and exciting new way
In order to access your account a few simple steps are needed:
  1. Barry Pointe Family Care will need to know the email address you would like to use in order to access your secure healthcare information. We have begun asking for your email address as patients have come into the office.
  2. You must have an “Enrollment Token.” This is a secure number that is tied your email address and is needed for the initial set-up of your account. Once we have your email address, we will immediately provide you with your unique Enrollment Token, as well as a handout on how to set up your account. Due to privacy laws, this will only be given to you in person, when you come into our office. You will only need this secure number at the initial set-up of your NextMD account.
  3. Once we have entered you into our system, you will receive an e-mail from NextMD that will provide you with a link to enroll and log into. The link below will also take you to the same NextMD website. Just click on the “Enroll Now” button on the NextMD website to start the process. Again, you will be asked for your Enrollment Token and your email address. This is followed by further set-up instructions where you choose a User Name, your personal Password, and your personal Security Question.

Once you have completed the enrollment and logged in, you will be taken to the Barry Pointe Family Care, LLC NextMD home page. From there you will be able to send and receive secure messages to and from our office. You can:

Access mail-

  • Inbox/Sent Items
    • Just like your regular email, you will be able to send and receive emails from us through the secure NextMD internet portal

Tasks-

  • Compose Message
    • From here you will eventually be able to initiate an “E-Visit”. E-Visits will allow you to ask health care-related questions and receive responses directly from your physician. This is a WORK IN PROGRESS - please check back regularly to see when we have this fully available.
  • Renew Medication
    • You can request refills and direct which pharmacy they go to.
  • View Statement
    • This will allow you to check on your account status.
  • Research Center
    • The Research Center allows you to look up health-related information. Everything from 1,500 calorie diets and menus to how to treat an ankle sprain to better understanding your test results. This is wonderful resource that we feel is very important for patients to have access to.

It is only through this portal that you will be able to access information and communicate with us. Test results, your medication renewal requests and E-Visits will be sent to you via the NextMD portal. You will receive an e-mail in your personal e-mail account from “NextMD Notifications”. This will alert you that test results, your medication requests or E-Visit has been completed by your physician. You will be directed to log into NextMD to view the appropriate information. For privacy reasons, no healthcare information will be sent to your personal email account from NextMD. Furthermore, our policy is that all critical labs and/or test results will still be called directly to you.

We recognize that technology is exciting and can enhance the physician-patient relationship. However, no system is perfect. With that in mind, we encourage constructive feedback from you. We truly want to provide you the best quality care we can.
